MISSION
The Original Med Gala Inc was founded by The Founding Core Collective, which is comprised of Dr. Jacqueline Waters, Mrs. Toya Bush-Harris, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Ms. Quad Webb. Our mission is to empower and uplift minority students pursuing careers in medicine. Recognizing the importance of community, mentorship, and representation, we expanded our efforts by partnering with the inspiring Ladies of Married to Medicine to help sustain and grow our initiatives. Our mission is to provide mentorship, resources, and financial support to minority medical students, fostering a diverse and inclusive healthcare workforce. Through our collective efforts, we aim to give back to underserved communities and nurture the next generation of compassionate, culturally competent medical professionals.
VISION
Our vision is to create a lasting impact by hosting annual events such as our signature medical gala, along with various fundraising opportunities, to generate resources that directly benefit underserved communities and aspiring minority medical students. We envision a future where our efforts foster a more equitable healthcare landscape, support the growth of diverse medical professionals, and inspire continued community engagement and philanthropy. Through these initiatives, we aim to build a sustainable platform that empowers future medical leaders and ensures that underserved populations receive the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve.
SUBMISSIONS
We are excited to announce a scholarship opportunity for minority students who have been accepted into a medical program with a minimum GPA of 3.5! This initiative is sponsored by the Ladies of Married to Medicine, who are committed to supporting the next generation of healthcare leaders. We want to help you pursue your dream of becoming a healthcare professional.

• Accepted into a medical program
• Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Must be a minority student
• Must submit a 250-500 word essay addressing the criteria below:
